Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom PS4 vs. Nintendo Switch Comparison

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is available now on the Nintendo Switch. Here’s a comparison between the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch version.

After a long wait, the second game in the Ni No Kuni series is finally out on the Nintendo Switch. The first game was remastered and released on multiple consoles including the Nintendo Switch and PC, so the hybrid console missing on the second one was an odd choice from Bandai Namco and Level 5.

This mistake has been rectified with the launch of the Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Prince Edition that comes with all of the post-launch DLCs. But how does this new version compares to the PS4?

The obvious downgrades are the resolution and lighting. The game is shaded differently between the two consoles while the aliasing is quite evident in scenes with a greater amount of geometry on the screen e.g in a distance.

What surprised us was how well the game holds up on the Nintendo Switch. It is not a particularly demanding one, to be honest, but it is still a pretty decent port. The combat appears to function perfectly fine and the performance is satisfactory, if not solid.

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Prince is available for the Nintendo Switch. It can be purchased for $59.99
