The Woman in the Window

She starts to notice strange behaviour and witnesses violent acts, but are these real or only a figment of her imagination?
The Weekend Away
Based on the best-selling novel by Sarah Alderson, this movie tells the story of Beth (Leighton Meester) and Kate (Christina Wolfe), two friends who decide to go on their annual holiday to Croatia. When Kate vanishes after a night out, the plot begins to thicken. Beth does everything to try and find her friend and work out all the missing pieces of the story. Chick-flick meets thriller; this movie is perfect for a Friday night in.
Rebecca
Initially released in 1940 and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Rebecca tells the story of a newlywed couple. This 2020 remake starring Lily James, Armie Hammer, and Kristin Scott Thomas is an excellent rendition of the mysterious thriller. After meeting in Monte Carlo and falling deeply in love, Mrs de Winter (Lily James) moves into her new husband’s large English manor, only to discover that his last wife died from a boating accident. She finds herself living in the mysterious shadow of his late wife.
Bird Box
Released in 2018, this post-apocalyptic movie is sure to have you sitting on the edge of your seat. It’s based on the novel by Josh Malerman and focuses on the life of Malorie Hayes, played by Sandra Bullock in the film. An unknown force destroys the population and leaves those who have survived fearing for their lives. Unsure of what this entity is, Malorie tries to escape with her two children in search of a safe haven. All they know is that if you see this mysterious force, you die.
The Irishman
Directed by Martin Scorcese, The Irishman is an epic crime drama film released in 2018. The movie has an all-star cast starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino. The film is about Frank Sheeran, played by De Niro, who starts as a truck driver, but becomes a hitman after he finds himself involved with the mob. This is an action-packed movie and it is an ode to the classic mafia films.
