IO Interactive has officially disclosed the PC system requirements for 007 First Light, providing players with a clear look at the hardware needed to run the upcoming James Bond title. The specifications outline both minimum and recommended configurations, each tied to specific performance targets, giving PC users ample time to prepare ahead of the game’s revised release date.
According to the published details, the minimum PC requirements for 007 First Light are designed to deliver gameplay at 1080p resolution running at 30 FPS. To meet this target, players will need an Intel Core i5 9500K or an AMD Ryzen 5 3500 processor, paired with a graphics card equivalent to an NVIDIA GTX 1660, AMD RX 5700, or a comparable Intel discrete GPU. The minimum setup also requires 16 GB of system memory, 8 GB of video memory, and at least 80 GB of available storage space. The supported operating systems are Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11, both in 64-bit versions.
For those aiming for smoother performance, the recommended specifications raise the bar to 1080p at 60 FPS. Achieving this level of performance calls for more recent hardware, including an Intel Core i5 13500 or an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 processor. On the graphics side, IO Interactive recommends an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, AMD RX 6700 XT, or an equivalent Intel discrete GPU. The recommended configuration increases memory requirements to 32 GB of RAM and 12 GB of video memory, while storage and operating system requirements remain unchanged at 80 GB and Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, respectively.
007 First Light, previously known as Project 007, is positioned as an origin story for James Bond. Developed by IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman series, the game places players in the role of a 26-year-old Bond at the very beginning of his career. The narrative centers on his first MI6 mission and the path toward earning his iconic 00 status, blending stealth-focused gameplay with cinematic action sequences.
The game was officially unveiled with a gameplay showcase in late 2025 and features Bond voiced by Patrick Gibson. It incorporates social stealth mechanics and open-ended puzzle design alongside more traditional action set pieces, including vehicle chases and confrontations with a villain named Bawma, portrayed by Lenny Kravitz. While the title was initially planned for a March release, IO Interactive announced a delay to May 27, 2026, citing the need for additional polish.
007 First Light is confirmed to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch 2. With the PC specifications now public, players have a clearer picture of what will be required to experience Bond’s first mission as intended.
