Absolum Update 1.1 Expands Challenges and World Systems

Update 1.1 for Absolum is a major content update planned for Early 2026, introducing new challenge systems, world modifiers, and progression features aimed at deepening replayability. The update focuses on giving players greater control over difficulty while expanding the ways the world of Talamh reacts to player choices.

Alongside systemic changes, the update adds elite mounts, new cosmetic options, and expanded social expression through emotes. These additions are designed to enhance both moment-to-moment combat and long-term progression without altering the game’s core structure.

Patch Notes

New Challenges

  • Added Mystic Ordeals, a new challenge system unlocked after defeating the final foe
  • Introduced pre-set ordeals that add layered difficulty on top of standard playthroughs
  • Enabled custom ordeals that players can configure themselves
  • Added unique challenge codes that can be shared with other players

World Changes

  • Replaced randomized portals with corrupted regions integrated directly into the world of Talamh
  • Displayed corrupted regions clearly on Maugis’ map
  • Increased enemy strength within corrupted regions
  • Increased reward potential when progressing through corrupted regions
  • Added player control over corrupted region frequency through Mystic Ordeals
  • Enabled full-world corruption as an optional high-difficulty modifier

Mount Updates

  • Added new elite mounts to the world
  • Increased mount combat effectiveness with upgraded attacks
  • Improved mount speed, durability, and combat utility
  • Enabled elite mounts to spawn naturally in regions across Talamh

Skins and Emotes

  • Added new in-game emotes for heroes
  • Included unique voice lines for select emotes
  • Enabled players to select emote packs when choosing a hero at the campfire
  • Added new hero skins
  • Enabled skin unlocks through the sacred tree
  • Enabled skin unlocks through in-game challenges

Absolum Update 1.1 is scheduled to release in Early 2026 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
