The voice actress behind Ada Wong in Capcom’s 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake has teased a possible return in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem DLC.
Jolene Andersen, the voice actress behind Ada Wong in the Resident Evil 2 remake, took to social media to tease (via ProMontreal on YouTube) her work on a new project related to the series, possibly the character’s return in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem DLC. She began with a reflection on the new year, saying that 2026 is a fresh start where people can aim to be happy, healthy, and successful. She then mentioned that she was preparing for a “top-secret mission,” adding that she would love to share more but couldn’t because the information was classified. She further said that she didn’t “want to be a rookie about it”, as she wouldn’t want to end up like “Ben.”
“2026 is here – we can start over, we can be happy, healthy, successful, and all the good stuff that every new year brings,” said Andersen. “Now listen, speaking of missions, I’m getting ready to go on a very top-secret mission myself. I’d love to tell you all about it, but that information is classified. I don’t want to be a rookie about it, because I wouldn’t want to end up like Ben, now would I?”
Andersen’s mention of Ben likely refers to Ben Bertolucci, a Racoon City freelance investigative journalist from Resident Evil 2, who died in the precinct jail after being attacked by a mutant during the outbreak incident. Her in-character comment as Ada Wong not wanting to end up like him for his excessive curiosity suggests that her upcoming top-secret mission may end up being part of the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem DLC. Recently, known insider and horror game enthusiast Dusk Golem also claimed that Ada Wong is very likely to appear in the Resident Evil Requiem DLC.
Last month, Capcom offered the first glimpse at the aforementioned Resident Evil Requiem DLC, confirming that additional story content is currently in development. The accompanied artwork featured both Leon and Grace, suggesting they may have a role to play in the upcoming story expansion.
