PlayStation Plus subscribers may be in for a chilling treat next month. According to a reliable report, Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 is expected to headline the PS Plus lineup for October 2025, arriving just in time for the Halloween season.
While Sony has not yet confirmed the lineup, industry insider Billbil-kun has shared on Dealabs that Alan Wake 2 will be part of the monthly offerings. The survival horror sequel will be accessible to all tiers of PlayStation Plus, including Essential, Extra, and Premium. Players can claim the game between October 7 and November 4, 2025.
The reported inclusion fits the October mood, offering a story steeped in mystery and supernatural terror. Unlike many monthly lineups that include titles across both PS4 and PS5, Alan Wake 2 is a PS5 exclusive. Subscribers can still expect two additional titles in the lineup, though those have not yet been revealed.
Alan Wake 2, released in October 2023, continues the story of novelist Alan Wake, who has been trapped in a nightmarish alternate dimension for over a decade. The narrative intertwines his desperate struggle with FBI agent Saga Anderson’s investigation, blending psychological horror with survival gameplay. Developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games Publishing, the title was one of the studio’s most ambitious projects, with a reported budget of €70 million.
The game was met with strong reviews upon release, earning several Game of the Year nominations and selling over two million units by the end of 2024, making it Remedy’s fastest-selling title. Two expansions have since been released, Night Springs and The Lake House, further building on the eerie universe.
If the leak holds true, PS Plus members will soon have the chance to experience Remedy’s acclaimed horror sequel at no additional cost. With October being synonymous with suspense and scares, Alan Wake 2 seems like a fitting centerpiece for the month’s lineup.
