Version 3.0.0 for Animal Crossing: New Horizons released on January 14, 2026, delivering the previously announced wave of new content alongside a wide range of quality-of-life improvements. The update focuses on streamlining crafting, improving storage usability, and expanding daily activities tied to new features.
In addition to general gameplay refinements, the update introduces platform-specific fixes for Nintendo Switch 2 and expands functionality for the NookLink service. Together, these changes aim to make island management faster, more flexible, and easier to track as players progress.

- Added all previously announced new content and features
- Enabled crafting of up to 10 items at once when sufficient materials are available
- Allowed items stored in home storage to be used directly as DIY materials
- Added a new page to the DIY Recipes app to track hotel DIY requests and Tom Nook item requests
- Enabled permanent reordering of items obtained through Animal Crossing Pocket Camp from Nook Shopping
- Enabled ordering of Super Mario Bros. items from Nook Shopping without linking a Nintendo Account
- Added the ability to move while facing the same direction by holding the L Button outdoors
- Added recommended melody suggestions from Isabelle when changing the island tune
- Added the option to revert the island flag to its original design at Resident Services
- Increased the maximum purchase quantity of Customization Kits to 50 at Nook’s Cranny

- Guaranteed receipt of a Pearl every time a scallop is given to Pascal
- Added the option to ask Leif to remove weeds when 30 or more weeds are present
- Reduced the fee for Leif’s weed removal service
