Arc Raiders Known Issues and Fixes: Current Bugs, Workarounds, and Ongoing Improvements

by Greg Martin

Embark Studios has shared an updated list of known issues currently affecting Arc Raiders, outlining the bugs, technical hiccups, and gameplay inconsistencies players may encounter. The development team has confirmed that they are actively investigating and deploying fixes to stabilize the experience following the game’s October 30, 2025, launch. The report, last updated on October 30, covers issues spanning performance, gameplay, visuals, and quests, alongside recommendations for temporary workarounds where possible.

The studio emphasized that several of these issues are being prioritized for future patches, with particular attention on performance-related crashes, connection errors, and quest progression bugs. Below is the full breakdown of the issues currently being tracked.

Performance Issues

  • The game may crash when attempting to surrender after losing connection and reconnecting to a session.
  • When the Inactive Window Energy Saving setting is enabled, FPS may remain unchanged after minimizing or unfocusing the game. This affects both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.
  • The Proximity VOIP feature can sometimes produce robotic or distorted audio.
  • Using Raider Voice (Beta) with Open Mic may cause performance drops on lower-end systems.

Temporary Fix: Embark recommends using Push-to-Talk mode or keeping Raider Voice disabled unless running a system with at least eight CPU cores to maintain stability.

Gameplay Issues

  • Being knocked down while carrying a Field Crate may disable weapon use and item interaction after revival.
  • After delivering a Field Crate, players might become stuck in a looting animation.
  • The Utility T3 Defensive augment may cause the Mobile Repair effect to malfunction when in a party.
  • The Strongroom Heist activity can sometimes spawn an Access Capacitor Rack without batteries, blocking completion.
  • During Electromagnetic Storm map conditions, Bombardier and Bastion enemies might not be stunned by lightning strikes as intended.
  • Interacting with quest prompts and idling afterward may cause the required quest item to disappear.
  • Reconnecting mid-round can make certain interactive objectives impossible to complete, as prompts may fail to appear.

Visual Issues

  • Switching between Settings tabs and returning to the Raider Deck or Store may cause character outfits to disappear temporarily, leaving only the backpack visible.
  • While previewing the surface map, Trials may display placeholder white icons.
  • Upon returning to the main menu, character textures may appear simplified or low-resolution.
  • In character customization, the Hawker and Chap outfits may display placeholder textures around the collars.

Quest Issues

Some quests have mismatched item rewards or progression bugs, including:

  • Greasing Her Palms
  • Off the Radar
  • Out of the Shadows
  • Clearer Skies
  • Life of a Pharmacist

Additionally, during A Lay of the Land, progress may incorrectly carry into the next round, preventing the quest from being completed.

Developer Notes and Ongoing Fixes

Embark Studios has confirmed that it is monitoring community feedback through official forums and social channels. Hotfixes addressing early launch issues are already in development, and the team has promised improved server stability and optimization updates in the coming weeks.

Given Arc Raiders’s fast-paced PvPvE nature—where connection consistency and frame rate stability are crucial—Embark encourages players to report recurring bugs via the in-game reporting tool or through the official support portal.
