Arc Raiders Sells 14 Million Units, Boosts Nexon Earnings

by Ali Haider

Nexon has confirmed that Arc Raiders has sold 14 million units since its launch on October 30, 2025, marking a major commercial breakthrough for the company. The milestone was disclosed as part of Nexon’s Q4 2025 investor presentation, which positioned the new intellectual property as a central driver of the company’s financial performance and global expansion.

Released across PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, Arc Raiders quickly climbed sales charts, sustaining top ranking positions on Steam’s Top Sellers list as well as PlayStation and Xbox storefronts. Nexon reported that the title significantly exceeded internal expectations in Japan, North America, Europe, and other international markets. In Q4, it ranked as the number one PC and console title in Japan, North America, and Europe.

Player engagement metrics further underscored the game’s impact. Arc Raiders reached a peak of 960,000 concurrent users in January 2026 and is maintaining approximately six million weekly active users. Nexon indicated plans to support the title with monthly content updates and live events to sustain momentum.

Despite the strong commercial performance, Nexon noted that revenue recognition complexities affected reported Q4 results. Because Arc Raiders is an upfront payment multiplayer title without a single player mode, auditors required the company to defer ¥27.7 billion in Q4 revenue from a specific sales channel. More than half of that amount, approximately ¥14 billion, is expected to be recognized in Q1 2026. This deferral reduced headline operating income for the quarter, even as underlying performance remained strong.

In Q4 2025, Nexon reported revenue of ¥123.6 billion, up 55 percent year over year, with PC and console revenue rising 85 percent to ¥91.6 billion. Operating income recovered to ¥7.2 billion from a loss in the prior year quarter. For the full year 2025, revenue reached ¥475.1 billion, up 6 percent year over year, while PC and console revenue climbed 32 percent to ¥338.9 billion, accounting for 71 percent of total revenue.

Looking ahead, Nexon provided record-high Q1 2026 guidance, forecasting revenue of up to ¥164.0 billion and operating income of up to ¥61.1 billion. The outlook reflects continued Arc Raiders sales, recognition of deferred revenue, and contributions from other key franchises.
