Nexon has announced that ARC Raiders, the debut title from Stockholm-based Embark Studios, has achieved remarkable success since its global release on October 30. The online PvPvE extraction shooter has surpassed 4 million units sold and reached over 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms. Following its debut, the game quickly climbed to the top of Steam’s Global Top Sellers list and has maintained a “Very Positive” rating from players, solidifying its position as one of the most notable releases of 2025.
Developed by a team led by Embark Studios CEO Patrick Söderlund, ARC Raiders blends cooperative and competitive gameplay within a dynamic sci-fi setting. Players engage in large-scale battles against both enemy factions and automated ARC machines, gathering resources and equipment while navigating treacherous environments. The game’s strong debut reflects growing enthusiasm for innovative multiplayer experiences, particularly those that combine survival, extraction, and high-intensity combat mechanics.
Nexon President Jung-Hun Lee expressed his admiration for the project’s achievement, stating, “I sincerely offer my congratulations and appreciation to Embark Studios for achieving Nexon’s most successful global launch ever. We are deeply impressed by the enthusiasm the player community has for this title, and we will strive to further heighten this excitement with content plans such as new maps, ARC machines, weapons, and quests scheduled for implementation starting this month.”
The company has confirmed that an extensive post-launch roadmap is already underway, with the first major update expected later this month. Upcoming additions include a new map, enhanced ARC machines, fresh quests, and expanded gameplay systems. Beyond November, Nexon and Embark Studios plan to maintain a consistent schedule of events and content releases throughout 2026, aiming to sustain player engagement and long-term growth.
