Arkane Studios Expects Marvel’s BLADE Release To Happen By The End Of 2027

Arkane Studios expects the release of its upcoming action-adventure game, Marvel’s BLADE, to happen by the end of the year 2027.

According to a report from Pappers Enterprises on the financials of Arkane Studios, the studio’s estimated period for obtaining final approval for the release of its current project, Marvel’s BLADE, is November, 2027. It is also mentioned that the game entered production phase at the end of the year 2024, following prototype validation. Though, according to the LinkedIn profile of Campaign Director Dana Nightingale, it appears to have been in pre-production since January, 2022.

Elsewhere in the report, it is mentioned that the turnover of Arkane Studios is composed entirely of billing to ZeniMax.Microsoft, based in the United States. The amount is determined based on the operational costs incurred during the fiscal year, to which a margin rate is applied. It also suggests that the studio is profitable for the parent company.

Not a whole lot is known about Marvel’s BLADE outside of the fact that it is a third-person action game. The camera perspective is a first for Arkane Studios Lyon, as it has primarily worked on first-person action titles in the past. For those unfamiliar with the character, Blade, also known as Eric Cross Brooks, is a fictional character in Marvel Comics. Created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan, BLADE initially appeared as a supporting character in The Tomb of Dracula #10 (July, 1973) before becoming the central figure in his own storylines. The character is dedicated to eliminating vampires.
