Arma Reforger 1.6.0.31 Experimental Update Brings New Fixes, Tweaks, and Mission Additions

Bohemia Interactive has released the 1.6.0.31 Experimental Update for Arma Reforger on PC and Xbox. This patch focuses on refining gameplay, enhancing mission content, and addressing issues with maps, assets, and controls. The update introduces new mission header images for Operation Omega, tweaks to Kolguyev, and refinements to sound triggers and damage areas.

The patch also improves joystick support, merging presets for the X56 stick and throttle, and adding new functionality for turret fire modes and freelook reset actions. Alongside these changes, several bug fixes have been implemented, including corrected HQ voice-overs, helicopter rotor collision adjustments, and improved helicopter control bindings.

Assets

  • Tweaked minimum distance of sound trigger for house ruin particle sounds and adjusted some samples
  • Tweaked Kolguyev damage area to align with latest code version
  • Tweaked main menu visuals for recommended, favorite, and recent sections
  • Fixed multiple issues and improvements on Kolguyev
  • Fixed Mi-8 rotor collider
  • Fixed missing sound event for grabbing fuse when disarming M15 AT mine

Playable Content

  • Added new header pictures for Operation Omega mission
  • Tweaked item refund rate from other factions, now reduced to 40%
  • Fixed revoked Commander retaining access to Command Posts
  • Fixed HQ voice-overs issue where USSR faction played US voice lines

Controls

  • Changed joystick settings to support index changes for more than two devices (e.g., pedals)
  • Changed X56 stick and throttle merged into a single preset
  • Added TurretNextFireMode and FreelookReset actions to X56 and X3D presets
  • Fixed helicopter lights binding conflict with weapon controls on X3D and X56 presets
  • Fixed helicopter collective input source setup to properly use joystick1 axis0 +/-

Arma Reforger is a tactical military simulation game developed by Bohemia Interactive. Built on the Enfusion engine, it serves as a foundation for the upcoming Arma 4. It was first released in Early Access on May 17, 2022, for PC and Xbox, officially launching version 1.0 on November 16, 2023. A PlayStation 5 version followed in December 2024. The game supports cross-platform multiplayer across all available platforms.
