Bandai Namco and From Software’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will support a total player count of 6 players in multiplayer, with 3 additional spectators.

This essentially means that each PvP party can contain up to 3 players in total, much like in the Dark Souls series. 3 vs 3 sounds about right for a game of this nature, where players will benefit from choosing frames and customization that complement each others’ play styles.

Customization is, therefore, a focal aspect of the Armored Core experience. Players can enhance and adjust the power of their Armored Core frame by using a variety of parts. You’ll have plenty of room to play around with different weapon loadouts, thanks to the four weapon holding slots – one in each hand and two on the back. This includes all-time favorites, such as bazookas, gatling guns, split missiles, plasma rifles, etc.

Numerous new close-range weapons have also been introduced. Game director Masaru Yamamura stated that one area the studio concentrated on in Armoured Core VI is melee weapons, exclusively equipped to the left hand. These include a device that throws cluster bombs, a chainsaw or pulse blade, lances, or other more idiosyncratic weapons. The melee weapons are more focused on strength of individuality, since firearms are the primary weapons. Players will also have the opportunity to design a unique AC of their own by adding personalized paint jobs and liveries.

25 years after players first built their custom Cores and 10 years after the last entry, the series returns with Armored Core VI on August 25, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
