Ubisoft has announced the release of Title Update 1.0.4 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, launching on May 6, 2025, across all major platforms. The update introduces a new free story pack, various gameplay enhancements, and numerous bug fixes that address player-reported issues. This patch is part of the developer’s ongoing post-launch support and also reflects the continued rollout of the Year 1 roadmap.
The headline feature in this update is The Works of Luis Frois, a new narrative-driven story pack. Players will encounter Luis Frois at a Jesuit Mission, triggering a series of events that involve recovering his lost notes and protecting Lady Satoko. This side quest can be initiated by traveling to Azuchi and locating Frois south of the Merchants’ Quarters, once the player has completed “The Path He Walks” in Yasuke’s quest board. In addition, the update implements long-requested character bios in the in-game Codex, enhancing immersion by giving players a clearer sense of their allies and enemies.
