The patch ranges from 3.44 GB on PlayStation 5 to 9.97 GB on Xbox Series X|S, bringing with it one of the most comprehensive updates yet since launch.

The introduction of Corrupted Castles reimagines previously completed fortresses as Animus anomalies filled with hostile, corrupted samurai and challenging encounters. Meanwhile, the Advanced Parkour toggle gives freer control over movement with unrestricted side and back ejects, enhanced ledge grabs, and the return of the Directional Catch Ledge mechanic. The patch also delivers multiple improvements to performance, stability, and player progression, ensuring a smoother experience as players explore feudal Japan.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is an open-world action-adventure game set in 16th-century feudal Japan, developed and published by Ubisoft. Players assume dual roles: Naoe, a skilled shinobi assassin, and Yasuke, a formidable samurai warrior. The title blends stealth and combat in a dynamic world shaped by shifting seasons, political turmoil, and the ancient conflict between the Assassins and the Templar Order.

The game was released on March 20, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving later in the year.
