Sony Interactive Entertainment and Team Asobi’s 3D platformer, Astro Bot, has claimed more than 100 Game of the Year awards.
According to the current tally on Game of the Year award tracker website gamefa.com, Astro Bot has accumulated over 100 Game of the Year awards, surpassing Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Two as the most awarded platformer.
For the sake of comparison, Astro Bot has won a total of 104 Game of the Year awards so far, while 2023 Game of the Year winner Baldur’s Gate 3 won 288, 2022 Game of the Year winner Elden Ring won 435, 2021 Game of the Year winner It Takes Two won 88, 2020 Game of the Year winner The Last of Us Part 2 won 326, 2019 Game of the Year winner Death Stranding won 118, 2018 Game of the Year winner God of War won 263, 2017 Game of the Year winner The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won 264, 2016 Game of the Year winner Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End won 190, 2015 Game of the Year winner The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won 281, 2014 Game of the Year winner Dragon Age: Inquisition won 138, and 2013 Game of the Year winner The Last of Us won 257.
After Astro Bot’s current Game of the Year awards tally of 104 comes Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in the #2 spot with 37 awards, followed by Balatro in the #3 spot with 28 awards, followed by Metaphor: ReFantazio in the #4 spot with 25 awards, followed by Black Myth: Wukong in the #5 spot with 22 awards, followed by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in the #6 spot with 12 awards, followed by Silent Hill 2 in the #7 spot with 11 awards, followed by Helldivers 2 in the #8 spot with 8 awards, followed by Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth in the #9 spot with 4 awards, followed by Animal Well in the #10 spot with 4 awards.
