Koei Tecmo has released update 1.0.2.0 for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land on Steam. The patch, listed as version 1.20 on the title screen, introduces several substantial updates, including new content and crucial fixes. This marks the latest step in post-launch support for the title, which debuted on March 21, 2025, for PC and consoles.
Among the most notable additions is a Building expansion, allowing players to further develop their customizable base within the field environment. This update enhances the creative and strategic elements of gameplay, offering greater flexibility in resource gathering and synthesis operations. In addition, a new difficulty option has been added, likely catering to players seeking either a more accessible or more challenging experience, though specific details about difficulty scaling were not disclosed.
The update also brings corrections to numerous progression-related bugs, several of which could prevent players from advancing in the story or completing specific quests. This includes fixes to game-breaking issues that previously rendered quests such as Reaching an Impasse, Barriers to Historical Research, and Tracking impossible to complete under certain conditions. Furthermore, five major pioneering quests—The Mystery of the Alber, In Search of Relaxation, Security Agency Search, Homunculus Documents, and Suspecting Licht—have been corrected to ensure proper activation. Players who encountered these bugs prior to the patch will automatically receive these quests after updating.
Additionally, the update resolves a Steam-specific bug where the game would sometimes become stuck on the loading screen following the final boss event. Other fixes address issues with fast travel, landmark unlocking, and cursor behavior during map navigation when the in-game resolution did not match the monitor’s display settings.
