Larian Studios has released Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #34, addressing several crashes and bugs while delivering a major update for Steam Deck users. The game now supports a fully native Steam Deck build, offering smoother framerates, faster loading, and reduced CPU usage compared to the Proton version. These optimizations also benefit all platforms, with improved model streaming aimed at reducing framerate spikes in demanding areas such as the Lower City in Act 3.
The hotfix also tackles multiple Xbox-specific issues, including crashes during cinematics, Honour Mode save loads, and cross-play conflicts. Additionally, the update corrects gameplay bugs, audio inconsistencies, cinematic errors, and other technical hiccups, ensuring a more polished experience for all players.
