Battlefield 2042 Update 9.2 has arrived, bringing major additions and improvements across the board. The update introduces the reimagined Iwo Jima map, complete with an active volcano, bunkers, trenches, and tactical landing zones. Players can also enjoy two new weapons, the KFS2000 assault rifle and the Lynx sniper rifle, as well as the return of two iconic fighter jets, the A-10 Warthog and Su-25TM Frogfoot.
Alongside new content, Update 9.2 includes a free Battle Pass with 60 ranks of cosmetic rewards inspired by past Battlefield titles, plus exclusive unlocks for the upcoming Battlefield 6. Players can also participate in the Best of Portal event, community-driven art series, and benefit from a wide range of fixes and gameplay adjustments designed to enhance weapon handling, vehicle balance, and overall flow.

Battlefield 2042 is a 2021 first-person shooter developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Released on November 19, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, it marked the series’ shift to fully multiplayer gameplay with cross-platform support.
