The multiplayer beta for EA and Battlefield Studios’ upcoming first-person shooter, Battlefield 6, is apparently set for release on August 4, 2025.

According to the EA app API (via Reddit user Fidler_2K), the publication date for the unannounced Battlefield 6 multiplayer beta is August 4, 2025. While this doesn’t necessarily confirm that it will begin on the same date, it’s likely to be in the near vicinity. The API also mentions “early open beta access”, which suggests that pre-orders for the game may be opening sometime soon.

Recently hints have also indicated that EA is preparing to reveal the next entry in the Battlefield series in a major way. Content creator DooM49 recently received a large Battlefield 6 case in the mail from EA. Fellow content creator rivaLxfactor also confirmed that packages marked with Battlefield 6’s logo were sent out to streamers by EA. Additionally, he heard from a source that there is a 3-day EA event set to begin on July 29, 2025. According to him, it is where Battlefield 6 will receive an official announcement, and people from the development team will be interviewed in a “somewhat fixed format”. Furthermore, content creators will feature the game in their streams and videos, and an open beta will apparently launch shortly after.

Back in March, 2025, a Telegram channel by the name of “1|BF” allegedly shared concept art from Battlefield 6. In addition to hints regarding the featured vehicles, the screenshots showed a return to a gritty aesthetic with the upcoming entry. Going by the vehicles seen in the artwork, tanks featured in the upcoming first-person shooter will include a Leopard 2 A5, an Ariete, a Russian Tigr armored vehicle. Earlier, participants of the first Battlefield 6 playtest leaked gameplay videos as well as the deployment screen from the game’s pre-alpha build. Based on the footage, in-round perks that were last seen in Battlefield 4 are making a return in the upcoming entry. Additionally, players will now have individual class loadouts to pick from. Another element that appears to have been brought back from Battlefield 4 is the deployment screen camera.
