The Battlefield 6 campaign mission No Sleep has drawn unfavorable comparisons with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) mission Clean House.
After EA and Battlefield Studios’ reveal of the Battlefield 6 campaign mission No Sleep, eagle-eyed Call of Duty fans noticed similarities with one of the most well-known levels from Modern Warfare (2019) i.e. the tense, night-time raid known as Clean House. Both missions share strikingly similar setups: the player infiltrates a darkened building, ascends staircases, and clears out hostile rooms filled with enemies waiting in ambush.

Battlefield 6’s No Sleep vs Modern Warfare (2019)’s Clean House
A side-by-side comparison video between Battlefield 6’s No Sleep mission and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)’s Clean House mission can be seen below courtesy of charlieINTEL on Twitter/X.
The comparison above shows almost identical sequences of breaching and clearing. In both missions, the camera follows the player through cramped interiors as each room bursts into close-quarters combat. However, the comparisons have not been flattering for Battlefield 6.
Responding to the comparison footage, Twitter/X user ModernWarzone argued that the AI in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) was “10x better” than what’s been shown in Battlefield 6. They noted that Infinity Ward’s AI in Clean House made the mission feel alive and unpredictable, with teammates moving tactically and enemies reacting convincingly under fire. By contrast, the preview footage of No Sleep shows friendlies and enemies seemingly behaving rigidly and unconvincingly.
Clean House became a popular mission because it balanced cinematic presentation with believable enemy behavior. Enemies sometimes hesitated, hid, or even surrendered, while friendlies coordinated their movements realistically. The mission gave players the sense of a real special-forces operation, even if several instances of AI behavior were scripted or controlled via set-pieces.
The Battlefield 6 campaign offers some interesting mechanics of its own, such as the sledgehammer tool for smashing through walls, taking advantage of the new destruction physics. As for whether the AI holds up, it’s tough to say anything concrete until the game is released next week on October 10, 2025.
