Reports indicate that early copies of EA and Battlefield Studios’ upcoming first-person shooter, Battlefield 6, are out in the wild.

Fans have begun getting a hold of early copies of Battlefield 6 four days prior to its launch. Reddit user grecea_vlad is one such individual, and they have shared a photograph of them being in possession of a physical copy of the upcoming title. They mentioned that they are able to access not only the game’s single-player campaign but also its multiplayer mode, though there are understandably few people playing online at this time.

The Reddit user also shared the file size for Battlefield 6 on PS5, mentioning that it takes up 68 GB of the console’s storage space. They also confirmed that the entire game is present on the disc, and that it is playable without connecting to the internet and requiring any mandatory download.

EA recently shared details regarding the day one update for Battlefield 6, which will arrive alongside the game’s global launch on October 10, 2025. Drawing from more than 92 million hours of Open Beta testing and extensive community feedback, this update focuses on refining core gameplay mechanics, rebalancing weapons, and improving overall performance across all platforms. With over 200 fixes, the patch aims to make gameplay smoother, more responsive, and better aligned with player expectations.

The update also introduces major improvements to playlists, menus, and matchmaking. Players can now access both “Open” and “Closed” Weapon playlists at launch, each designed to provide distinct gameplay experiences without compromising Battlefield’s trademark large-scale combat. Additional enhancements include expanded UI customization, audio clarity, better spawn logic, and new accessibility options.

Battlefield 6 will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. Set in 2027, the story follows a modern conflict between a fractured NATO and a private military power, Pax Armata. The game includes classic Battlefield modes and the all-new Escalation mode, alongside a refined class system and large-scale multiplayer battles.
