Battlefield 6 Open Beta Week 2 Faces Matchmaking and DLSS Issues as Testing Continues

by Salal Awan

The second weekend of the Battlefield 6 Open Beta has begun, but players have reported technical issues affecting matchmaking and graphics settings. According to official updates from the Battlefield Comms account, the development team is investigating both problems and working toward solutions during the ongoing test period.

Reports indicate that DLSS and DLAA options are currently unavailable in the beta. The team has since identified the root cause of the issue and expects to restore these features later today. Matchmaking problems have also been affecting some users when joining playlists. Players are advised to ensure their game client is updated and, for those using the EA App, to use the repair function available via the application’s menu.

Despite these setbacks, Open Beta Weekend 2 remains accessible to all players without the need for a code. The test period runs from August 14 at 8:00 UTC (1 AM PT) until August 18 at the same time across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the EA App.

This weekend introduces new content alongside returning maps and modes from the first beta phase. The additions include Empire State, an infantry-only map set in Brooklyn, New York, as well as Rush mode, where teams battle over M-COM stations, and Squad Death Match, in which four squads compete to reach the kill target first.

Players can also earn exclusive in-game rewards for completing challenges during the beta, including the Bat Company Dog Tag, War Machine Vehicle Skin, and Striking Distance Weapon Package, which will be available at launch.

Battlefield 6 is scheduled for release on October 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The current beta offers a chance to experience new content, test gameplay strategies, and secure limited-time rewards ahead of the full release.
