For those who already own Battlefield 6, accessing RedSec is a simple process. You will need to download the latest game update, version 1.1.0, and then head to your library. Under Battlefield 6, you’ll find the option to manually install specific game components—this includes RedSec, the single-player campaign, and the standard multiplayer mode. For players who do not own Battlefield 6, RedSec will be available separately as a free download across all supported platforms. Links for pre-loading will be updated as soon as they are live globally.

The newly revealed Fort Lyndon map has been officially confirmed as the arena for Battlefield RedSec. The map appears designed for large-scale encounters, featuring diverse combat zones suitable for infantry, vehicle, and aerial skirmishes. The specific dimensions have not been disclosed.

To mark the launch of Battlefield RedSec Season 1, Electronic Arts has announced a new Twitch Drop campaign running from October 28 at 8 a.m. PT to November 4 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Battlefield RedSec serves as both a standalone experience and a natural extension of Battlefield 6. Set between 2027 and 2028, Battlefield 6 depicts a conflict between a fractured NATO alliance and the private military company Pax Armata.
