The release of EA and Battlefield Studios’ next first-person shooter, Battlefield 6, is set to happen this October, based on a new rumor.

According to 1BF, a Battlefield dataminer group on Telegram (via Reddit user Fidler_2K), the release date for Battlefield 6 is currently set for October 10, 2025. While the date may be a placeholder that is subject to change, they mentioned that it appeared where they “shouldn’t have seen it.” Regardless, they cautioned that it shouldn’t be taken as 100% accurate.  The game will also allegedly receive a premium “Phantom Edition.” As of writing, no details are available on the contents of this special edition.

The 1BF dataminer group is known for digging into the EA App API to find flags for the multiplayer beta for Battlefield 6. According to their findings, the publication date for the beta is August 4, 2025. While this doesn’t necessarily confirm that it will begin on the same date, it’s likely to be in the near vicinity. The API also mentions “early open beta access”, which suggests that pre-orders for the game may be opening sometime soon.

Recent hints have also indicated that EA is preparing to reveal the next entry in the Battlefield series in a major way. Content creator DooM49 recently received a large Battlefield 6 case in the mail from EA. Fellow content creator rivaLxfactor also confirmed that packages marked with Battlefield 6’s logo were sent out to streamers by the publiser. Additionally, he heard from a source that there is a 3-day EA event set to begin on July 29, 2025. According to him, it is where Battlefield 6 will receive an official announcement, and people from the development team will be interviewed in a “somewhat fixed format”. Furthermore, content creators will feature the game in their streams and videos, and an open beta will apparently be launched shortly after.
