Electronic Arts has released details on the post-launch content roadmap for Battlefield 6. Season 1 will begin on October 28, 2025, across all platforms, introducing new maps, modes, weapons, and features spread over three phases.
The first phase, titled Rogue Ops, launches on October 28 and will feature the Blackwell Fields map, a California badlands setting that supports multiple combat sizes with land and air vehicles. A new tactical mode called Strikepoint, designed for 4v4 combat, will also debut. Additional content includes the APC Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, the SOR-300C carbine, Mini Fix sniper rifle, GGH-22 sidearm, and two new attachments.
On November 18, the second phase, California Resistance, will expand the game with the Eastwood map, a suburban setting supporting land vehicles and helicopters. This update introduces the Sabotage mode for 8v8 combat, Battle Pickups, and new weapons including the DB-12 shotgun and M327 revolver. The update will also add the Troy Angled grip attachment.
The third phase, Winter Offensive, arrives on December 9 and focuses on a limited-time environmental event in New York. The Empire State map will receive an “Ice Lock” update, covering the area in snow and adding gameplay modifiers tied to freezing conditions. A limited-time event, also called Ice Lock, will accompany the update. This phase will additionally introduce the Ice Climbing Axe as a new melee weapon.
According to Electronic Arts, each season of Battlefield 6 will provide monthly updates with new maps, modes, vehicles, and weapons. Content will also be available through the Portal Builder Tool, allowing community creators to integrate new features into custom experiences.
Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch worldwide on October 10, 2025. The title will be available in multiple editions, with pre-order bonuses including cosmetic packs and XP boosts. EA Play Pro subscribers on PC will also receive access to the game at launch.
