Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have released Update 1.0.1.6 for Battlefield 6, a minor quality-of-life patch aimed at improving backend performance and stability ahead of the game’s first major seasonal update. While this update does not introduce new gameplay features or content, it serves as a technical foundation for the upcoming Season 1 launch, ensuring smoother online operations and matchmaking stability across all platforms.
Alongside the backend updates, the development team also refreshed the list of known issues affecting the current build (1.0.1.0). These include bugs tied to the party system, weapons, vehicles, and user interface elements. Developers reaffirmed their commitment to addressing these issues in future patches, emphasizing that Battlefield 6 is a live service title with ongoing adjustments based on community feedback and telemetry data.
Full Patch Notes
Version 1.0.1.6 (Released October 15, 2025)
- Minor backend updates implemented to improve overall system stability and prepare servers for the Season 1 update.
Known Issues (as of Version 1.0.1.0)
Player
- Accepting multiplayer invites while in Campaign mode does not transfer the player to the correct lobby or server.
- Soldiers may bounce off vault-height objects if jumping from too far away.
- Characters can bounce slightly when landing on certain map assets.
- All Weapon Mastery Badges appear greyed out in the loadout menu, though progress tracking still functions correctly.
Gadgets
- EOD Bot may get stuck if deployed on top of a Supply Crate.
- Defibrillators may show inconsistent hit registration due to recent range adjustments.
Weapons
- Some weapons are missing intended camera shake effects while aiming.
- Crosshair scaling issues occur when playing in 4K resolution.
- Weapon sway can desynchronize after exiting a vehicle.
- Certain weapons fail to reload if the reload input is pressed immediately after firing.
- Charm loops are missing on select weapon models.
- For some scopes, the lens may detach visually during ADS reload animations.
Vehicles
- R-84V2 and AIM-84 Air-to-Air Missiles are temporarily disabled due to an issue affecting jet-to-jet missile targeting. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming patch.
Maps & Modes
- The combat area may fail to render on the minimap or deploy screen during Escalation.
- Strikepoint: Halftime screen may not display any information.
- Empire State (Rush): All sectors may appear active from match start.
UI & HUD
- HUD may not appear when using a 16:10 aspect ratio at certain resolutions.
- Game mode UI (team scores and objectives) may fail to update if joining a match mid-round; rejoining resolves the issue.
- The Command Console is currently inaccessible.
- A “Purchase Failed” error may appear when pressing the call-to-action button in Inbox, Bulletin, or Takeover screens.
- The “Highly Trained” Dog Tag incorrectly refers to AI units; it will be renamed to “Bot Dog Tag” in a future update and remains unequippable.
