Battlefield 6 continues to evolve at a steady pace, and Update 1.1.2.0 serves as the next checkpoint in that ongoing effort. Following the rollout of Update 1.1.1.0 and the launch of Season 1, the development team has issued a detailed list of the problems currently under review. The goal is to give players a transparent look at the issues being tracked, ranging from matchmaking quirks to visual bugs carried over into the RedSec battle royale mode. The list is lengthy, and at times repetitive by nature, but it reflects the realities of a modern live service shooter where layers of systems can behave unpredictably.
The team notes that not all players will experience these issues, but they prefer to surface them now rather than react later. As they put it, the most reliable way to ensure timely fixes is for players to continue submitting reports through official channels, since individual examples often help pinpoint wider problems. What follows is a structured breakdown of every category currently under investigation.
Core Game Issues
Matchmaking stability remains a top priority, with situations where players leaving a party can trigger errors for those who stay behind. Campaign and multiplayer transitions are also a point of friction, especially when accepting invites mid-session. The team has highlighted a small but confusing storefront complication as well, noting that players who upgrade from the free version to paid editions must restart the game before all content becomes accessible. Even event menus can stumble, with the Homefront event occasionally displaying the wrong theme.
Player and Soldier Behavior
Animation issues continue to surface, most noticeably when climbing stairs, where characters may stutter or get stuck. Reviving teammates can also lock players into an unchangeable stance during the early animation phase, something that can easily throw off timing in crowded firefights. A few weapon handling problems only show up after being revived, such as loadouts failing to switch to a secondary primary weapon when an underslung attachment is involved. Meanwhile, soldiers standing near tanks may find the XFGM 6D Recon Drone unusable, and melee attacks in water are currently failing to register.
Gadget Stability
Several gadgets behave in ways that were never intended. The Mine Countermeasure tool can destroy incoming rockets when activated, and the MBT LAW can inadvertently trigger it as well. The EOD Bot is prone to getting stuck on supply crates, and the SLM93A Spire is incorrectly targeting ground vehicles that have been laser-designated. These details may seem small individually, but gadgets underpin a large portion of Battlefield class identity, so consistent behavior is essential.
Weapon Issues
A number of weapon attachments and ammo types are not functioning correctly. Match Trigger effects are being applied even when no attachment is equipped, and FMJ penetration bonuses extend to ammo types that should not benefit. Cosmetic and visual issues also appear throughout the list, including incorrect icon art, missing charm loops, and camera shake that fails to appear when aiming certain weapons. Some scopes suffer from visual detachment during reload animations, and the first shot fired after a quick zoom can be noticeably off target.
Vehicle Problems
The M1A2 tank fitted with the Chimera skin is taking more damage than intended, which naturally shifts the balance of long range engagements. On top of that, MR Missiles fired from infantry fighting vehicles can currently destroy heavy vehicles in a single hit, a clear imbalance the team has already flagged for correction.
Maps and Modes
Strikepoint rounds can sometimes end in a state where players cannot respawn, while UI inputs may freeze when multiple keys are pressed while opening the map. Escalation modes may fail to render the combat area on the minimap, and Rush on Empire State has a bug that incorrectly marks all sectors as active from the start. Even small assets can cause trouble, such as Sabotage structures taking more damage from sledgehammers than intended.
UI and HUD Issues
Several screens and tracking elements are not updating correctly. Strikepoint does not record player deaths properly, Rush may display the wrong match result, and kill cards fail to show when players die to AT Mines inside vehicles. A few cosmetic rewards also appear locked despite being equipped, and error messages like Purchase Failed can still appear when interacting with certain menu prompts. The Command Console is unavailable at the moment, though that restriction is temporary.
Character Visual Issues
A range of character cosmetics need correction. Missing patches, incorrect camo patterns, texture errors, and pattern duplication across skins all appear in the current list. Some class assignments override patches in ways they should not, and the System Override cosmetic is more saturated than intended, something the developers plan to adjust in a future update.
RedSec Battle Royale
Battlefield 6 RedSec shares many of the core systems from the base game, which means it carries over its own set of issues. Some revolve around scoring events not triggering, while others deal with trait progression or objective challenges reverting to earlier states. A few problems arise only in specific moments, like players being stuck in top-down views after redeploying or experiencing hit registration inconsistencies during initiation phases.
Mission bugs are particularly prominent. Timers may freeze, rewards may be incorrect, and some objectives remain completable even when destroyed by the ring of fire. Other mission events can cause framerate drops, especially in clustered encounters.
Map behavior in RedSec can fluctuate as well. Zooming the map may lock camera controls, the world may appear to unload during spectating, and helicopter travel can trigger asset pop-ins. Strike Packages called over water sometimes lack visual indicators, and the line predicting the next ring can become inaccurate, especially at higher altitudes. Loot physics are another point of frustration, as items dropped on open chests can slip underneath and become unreachable.
RedSec Gauntlet Mode
Gauntlet inherits many of the same issues but introduces its own set. Carried cases or data drives can vanish if a user disconnects, extraction icons can swap with data drive markers, and some messages, like Zone Captured, fail to appear. Scoring inconsistencies remain, such as points not being granted during the final seconds of a capture.
Loot and Item Handling
A number of gadgets can pass through walls, and canceling certain actions can cause visual jitter on the railgun pickup. Supply drops can break if gadgets are placed on them, or linger longer than they should. Upgrade Kits can be stolen mid-use, which is not the intended design. Smoke Cover also becomes unusable late in the match, which disrupts tactical play.
UI Issues Specific to RedSec
Various UI elements can persist after redeployment, teams can see identical highlighted stats, and loadouts do not display during Second Chance spectating. Some screens fail to indicate reuse restrictions on Redeploy Towers, inventory highlights linger longer than intended, and several icons or names appear incorrect. Even the Airstrike tutorial uses the wrong description at the moment.
Battle Royale Specific Bugs
Opening safes counts as looted chests, and Wreckage missions require players to hold the defuse button despite UI instructions saying otherwise.
Gauntlet UI Problems
Armor bars can disappear after editing loadouts, squad names may display placeholder text, and some traits lack proper HUD indicators. The Brief Screen may also fail to appear between rounds if the scoreboard was opened beforehand.
Battlefield 6 marks a return to the franchise’s roots, combining large-scale warfare with distinct class roles and destructible environments. Set in the near future between 2027 and 2028, the game uses the four classic classes and offers a single-player campaign alongside the extensive Portal creation tools powered by the Godot engine. The game launched on October 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, followed by the RedSec free-to-play battle royale mode on October 28.
