Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.3.5 Improves Melee Responsiveness and Jet Combat Balance

Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.3.5 delivers a focused set of refinements aimed at improving gameplay consistency and overall polish. The update prioritizes melee responsiveness, jet combat balance, ladder interactions, and UI and HUD clarity across core multiplayer experiences.

In addition to combat and interface improvements, the patch resolves several stability and edge case issues affecting REDSEC, Battle Royale, and Gauntlet modes, with targeted fixes designed to reduce friction during matches.

Patch Notes

Vehicles

  • Fixed an issue where vehicles could explode when a takedown was performed on an enemy soldier positioned on top of them
  • Reduced jet cannon damage against jets and helicopters, requiring approximately 40 percent more hits to destroy air targets

Weapons

  • Fixed bipod attachments displaying an incorrect constant hipfire accuracy bonus when not deployed
  • Corrected loadout point cost for the GRIM 1.50x optic on the DB-12, increasing it from 15 to 25
  • Fixed RPKM iron sights shooting lower than intended when using the short barrel
  • Fixed the TR-7 Light Barrel incorrectly improving muzzle velocity
  • Updated bipod mount input behavior for Alternate, Lefty Alternate, Southpaw, and Legacy Southpaw presets to follow the melee button
  • Improved knife melee attack speed
  • Improved buffering behavior for knife and sledgehammer attacks
  • Improved consistency of melee damage timing against enemies and the environment
  • Improved consistency of recoil modifiers when using a controller across different weapons
  • Updated sprint interruption behavior during melee attacks so sprint is only interrupted until the attack reaches its target
  • Enabled Firing Range target dummies to take damage while getting back up
  • Added a small close range muzzle flash when firing suppressed weapons

Gadgets

  • Fixed an issue where the GDPIS was not destroyed when targeted by the XFGM-6D Recon Drone, Defibrillators, or the Repair Tool
  • Fixed an issue where the Sniper Decoy did not properly hide scope glints from nearby snipers

Ladders

  • Fixed ladders positioned above the player being impossible to enter
  • Fixed soldiers being launched unexpectedly when attempting to enter ladders
  • Improved soldier climbing animations on ladders

UI and HUD

  • Added a new option to customize reticle color inside weapon and gadget scopes
  • Fixed an issue where home screen focus navigation could become locked to the bulletin
  • Fixed incorrect Reload Time stats being displayed for LMGs in weapon menus
  • Improved front-end soldier lighting for better visual presentation
  • Fixed the Reticle Colour option not correctly updating Thermal Scopes and supported gadgets

Visual Effects

  • Adjusted explosion particle effects by lowering shockwave force

REDSEC

Weapons

  • Fixed inconsistent jump landing movement speed reduction compared to other multiplayer experiences

Maps and Modes

  • Fixed an edge case in Gauntlet Data Extraction where the drone could permanently disappear if drives were deposited as it landed

Battle Royale

  • Fixed an issue where the armor bar could disappear intermittently
  • Fixed the Airburst Incendiary Launcher icon appearing as a grenade in the loot feed

Gauntlet

  • Fixed an issue where the armor bar could disappear after rapidly editing a loadout

Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.3.5 launches on January 20, 2026, at 9 AM UTC, and applies to Battlefield 6 and REDSEC across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X S, and PC.
