Battlefield 6 update 1.2.1.0 goes live on February 17, marking the start of Season 2. The update introduces the new Contaminated map, limited-time modes built around VL-7 psychoactive smoke, the return of the AH-6 Little Bird, and a fresh lineup of weapons, gadgets, and Battle Pass rewards.
In addition to new content, Game Update 1.2.1.0 delivers more than 240 gameplay improvements and quality-of-life fixes. These changes target weapon recoil consistency, soldier movement, vehicles, gadgets, maps, UI systems, Portal stability, audio reliability, and overall gameplay stability across platforms.

Battlefield 6 was released on October 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows PC. RedSec launched on October 28, 2025 as a free-to-play battle royale component. Update 1.2.1.0 becomes available on February 17 at 09:00 UTC, with full Season 2 content unlocking at 12:00 UTC.
