Beat Saber Update v1.40.13 Brings “Spooky Scary Skeletons” and Halloween Environment Enhancements

Beat Saber’s latest update, version 1.40.13, arrives just in time for Halloween, introducing the classic seasonal track “Spooky Scary Skeletons” (Undead Tombstone Remix – Extended) by Andrew Gold to the Shock Drops section. Players can now immerse themselves in a newly updated environment filled with eerie visuals, including jack-o’-lanterns and a shadowy manor that amplifies the Halloween atmosphere.

In addition to the festive content, the update primarily focuses on improving the Level Editor, addressing several bugs that affected testing and functionality. With these fixes, creators can expect a smoother editing experience and more reliable beatmap customization tools, enhancing the creative freedom within the game.

  • Added: Halloween-themed “Spoooky” environment featuring jack-o’-lanterns and a mysterious manor.

Level Editor Fixes

  • Fixed: Issue preventing players from testing a custom Beatmap in FPFC Test Mode after rechecking the FPFC box in the Beatmap Editor.
  • Fixed: Non-functional “Page 1” and “Page 2” buttons when using the “Lights V2” tab.
  • Fixed: Inability to exit a beatmap after changing the song file for a custom song in the Level Editor.
