Bethesda Has More Than Indiana Jones Planned for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026

Bethesda’s presence on the Nintendo Switch 2 may be more significant than initially expected. During Gamescom Opening Night Live, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was confirmed for a 2026 release on the new console. However, according to well-known insider NateTheHate, this will not be the only Bethesda title arriving on the platform.

In addition to Indiana Jones, Starfield is reportedly planned for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, alongside a possible PlayStation 5 port. The news comes as Bethesda continues to expand its reach across platforms, following Starfield’s original launch on PC and Xbox Series X/S back in 2023. With the Switch 2 featuring considerably stronger hardware than its predecessor, bringing large-scale RPGs such as Starfield could mark a notable shift in Nintendo’s third-party support.

The timing also aligns with Bethesda’s ongoing work on Starfield updates. Recent datamines hinted at a long-requested feature in development, with references to interplanetary “cruise mode” travel and a system dubbed “far travel.” While seamless space-to-surface transitions may still be off the table, these additions would greatly expand Starfield’s exploration systems. Fans speculate that such features may arrive in a substantial update or expansion ahead of its potential Switch 2 release.

Starfield, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, is the company’s first new IP in 25 years and was described by director Todd Howard as “Skyrim in space.” The game takes players across multiple star systems, offering a blend of exploration, combat, and role-playing mechanics. If the reports prove accurate, Nintendo’s newest console could become home to two of Bethesda’s most ambitious titles to date, marking a significant win for the platform.
