Black Ops 7 May 14 Update Fixes Ranked Play, Zombies, and UI Issues

Treyarch and Raven Software have released a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 update covering Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame fixes. The latest patch primarily focuses on Ranked Play adjustments, challenge-tracking fixes, Zombies map issues, and overall stability improvements.

Several exploits and progression-related bugs have also been addressed across Totenreich and multiplayer maps. A few quality-of-life changes were also made, particularly to Private Match settings and UI functionality.

Multiplayer

Ranked Play

  • Re-enabled Forfeit functionality
  • Fixed an issue allowing players to avoid intended SR losses through timed Forfeit voting

Challenges

  • Fixed the “Touch Grass” Dark Ops Challenge not tracking correctly

UI

Safeguard

  • Fixed missing information appearing during Safeguard Best Play sequences

Private Match

  • Incompatible modes are no longer hidden when selecting maps
  • Added a warning message when selecting incompatible maps and modes

Maps

Summit

  • Fixed multiple out-of-bounds locations that allowed players to leave the intended playspace

Gridlock

  • Fixed collision issues on rubble near Maple

Equipment

  • Fixed an issue where the Danger Close wildcard sometimes failed to grant a second lethal equipment item

Zombies

Totenreich

  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck in an ice wall during the Final Encounter
  • Fixed claw machine configurations that could not be completed
  • Fixed an exploit allowing players to leave the playspace
  • Fixed gun shaking during a side quest
  • Fixed a visual issue when ejecting from Tyr’s Head while prone or crouched
  • Closed an exploit that triggered special rounds more frequently
  • Fixed floating helmet and Jotunn Star effects appearing during the Final Encounter ending cutscene
  • Fixed missing ice visuals on frozen ascenders after loading save files
  • Fixed a bug removing the cost of Gnome Helmets
  • Added a round delay to Gnome Helmet respawns
  • Removed the ability to wall jump while transformed into a Gnome

Modes

Cursed

  • Fixed an issue where the Rocket Relic could block progression during the Totenenreich Main Quest

Field Upgrades

Wild Fire

  • Fixed an issue causing Augments to become unequipped after closing the game

Weapons

Siren

  • Fixed the Prestige Attachment causing Siren projectiles to stick to zombies instead of penetrating targets

Challenges

  • Fixed the Geiger Gunner Challenge not tracking properly

Stability

  • Added various Zombies stability fixes

Endgame

UI

  • Fixed event challenge completion popups appearing incorrectly across different modes in Endgame

  • Added various Endgame stability fixes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched on November 14, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, and published by Activision, the game is the first back-to-back Black Ops release following Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
