Nexon has released a new content update for its anime-style RPG Blue Archive, introducing a fresh event storyline and additional recruitable characters across Steam and mobile platforms.
Titled Winter Sky’s Renaissance Thesis on Cultural Exchange, the update brings a new narrative event centered on students from the Red Winter Federal Academy. The story follows Takane and Yakumo as they attempt to infiltrate Trinity General School under the guise of selling books, leading to a series of misunderstandings and eventual resolutions.
Alongside the event, players can recruit both Takane and Yakumo as new 3-star students through a limited-time pick-up recruitment campaign. Takane is designed to support allies by scaling healing effects based on low health while also providing critical buffs and additional damage support. Yakumo, on the other hand, focuses on grouping enemies and increasing team damage output by enhancing critical damage through stat building.
The recruitment event is available for a limited window, running until April 20 at 5:59 PM PT, or April 21 at 1:59 AM UTC.
Blue Archive places players in the role of an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club SCHALE, operating within the sprawling city of Kivotos. The game blends RPG progression with strategic combat, tasking players with resolving ongoing incidents while building relationships with its cast of student characters.
The update is available now, and Blue Archive remains free to download on Android, iOS, and Steam.
