Bluey Quest for the Gold Pen Coming May 28 to PC and Consoles

by Greg Martin

PM Studios and Radical Forge have announced that Bluey Quest for the Gold Pen will launch on May 28, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Digital pre-orders are now available across all platform storefronts, with physical pre-orders open through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, GameStop, and Video Games Plus.

Inspired by the Bluey animated series, the adventure game features an original story written by show creator Joe Brumm. The narrative begins with Bluey attempting to finish a drawing before Bandit takes the Gold Pen she needs. This sets the stage for a new adventure where Bluey and Bingo set out to retrieve it from King Goldie Horns in a world imagined around the family kitchen table.

The game includes fully animated cutscenes and features voice performances from the original cast. Players will explore hand-drawn environments inspired by episodes such as Dragon and Escape, alongside a new soundtrack produced by Halfbrick in collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios.

Bluey Quest for the Gold Pen includes nine levels set across locations such as snowy mountains, beaches, forests, and Australian landscapes, including the Outback. Gameplay focuses on exploration, puzzle solving, and light platforming challenges, with activities that include uncovering hidden treasures, completing mini quests, assisting lost critters, and collecting items that unlock additional moments in the story.

The title is designed to support cooperative play, allowing families to share the experience by passing the controller or handheld device during gameplay sessions.

Bluey Quest for the Gold Pen will be priced at $39.99 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be priced at $49.99 and will be distributed on cartridge as the full game rather than as a Game Key Card. The game is also currently available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as well as Google Play for Android devices.
