A new video game based on the award-winning animated series Bluey has launched worldwide on the App Store, with versions for other platforms slated to roll out throughout 2026. Bluey’s Quest for The Gold Pen was created by Brisbane-based Halfbrick Studios in collaboration with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio.
The game is available now for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, offering a free trial before a one-time unlock price of 14.99 USD. A Google Play launch is set for January 10, 2026. Versions for PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S are planned for later in the year, priced at 39.99 USD on most platforms and 49.99 USD on Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher added that the Switch 2 edition will be distributed as a full game cartridge rather than a download code.
Bluey’s Quest for The Gold Pen was written by series creator Joe Brumm and features voice work from the show’s cast. Halfbrick Studios developed the game with hand-drawn environments and original music created in partnership with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. The story introduces a new adventure in which Bluey and Bingo search for a missing gold pen taken by their father.
The gameplay centers on exploration-driven levels, light puzzle solving, collectible items, and small optional activities that support progression. The developers consider the game suitable for players aged seven and older, as well as younger children who already have some gaming experience.
Preorders for the console and PC versions are open through retail channels, though availability and listings may differ by region. BBC Studios and Halfbrick noted that more information on platform-specific features will be shared closer to release.
