Square Enix has announced that Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster will receive its Version 1.0.2 update at midnight on October 10, 2025 (JST). This latest patch introduces several key improvements centered on online functionality, user experience, and gameplay balance. The update addresses persistent disconnection problems when loading or waking the console from sleep mode and enhances the communication system by adding “Communication in process” notifications during reconnections. Players can now also access an Internet Connection Test through the Config menu to easily check their network status.
Beyond connectivity improvements, this update also rebalances the Exchange Shop by reducing the number of tokens required to obtain rewards, corrects achievement recognition issues, and refines tutorial sections for clarity. Additional minor bug fixes have been included to further enhance overall game stability and playability.

■ Internet Connection Improvements:
- Fixed an issue causing the software to disconnect from the internet when loading or waking from sleep.
- Added a “Communication in process” dialog when changing maps after waking from sleep.
- A “Communication in process” dialog now displays when the connection is not completed after loading, allowing the game to wait for proper reconnection.
- Friends and guests will now restore automatically when possible, without requiring a map change.
- Changed behavior for automatic disconnection after communication errors; error details are now displayed.
- Added an Internet Connection Test option to the Config menu to check current connection status.
■ Exchange Shop Adjustments:
- The number of tokens required to exchange for prizes has been lowered across all items.
■ Achievement Fixes:
- Resolved an issue where dealing 9,999 or more damage to Orthros would not trigger the “9,999” achievement.
■ Tutorial Enhancements:
- Added a “Press and hold” explanation alongside button icons during initial job tutorials.
- Introduced a tutorial for Luxencheer Rhythm Catch in the game corner, explaining new note types when they appear for the first time.
■ Miscellaneous:
- Addressed several minor bugs to improve performance and stability.
Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster is an enhanced version of the 2012 classic JRPG developed by Silicon Studio and published by Square Enix, rebuilt in high-definition for the Nintendo Switch 2.
