Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Beta Update Adds New Map, Zombies Mode, and Balancing Fixes

Activision has released a fresh beta update for Call of Duty Black Ops 7, expanding its content and addressing early player feedback. The new patch introduces the Survival mode in Zombies, a brand-new multiplayer map called Imprint, and a competitive mode titled Overload. These additions go live on Day 2 of the Early Access Beta, accompanied by gameplay fixes and technical improvements.

The developers are also monitoring community feedback regarding time-to-kill balance, automatic doors, and weapon XP progression. Adjustments to weapon damage, door functionality, spawn systems, and Overclock earn rates are planned for the coming days, ensuring a smoother and more balanced experience throughout the beta phase.

    • Multiplayer: NEW – Imprint, Cortex, Exposure, The Forge
    • Zombies: NEW – Vandorn Farm (Survival)
  • Modes
    • Multiplayer: NEW – Overload, Team Deathmatch, Hardcore Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardcore Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Training Course
    • Zombies: NEW – Survival, Training Course

Upcoming Changes Based on Feedback:

  • Time-to-Kill (TTK)
    • Weapon balance adjustments planned to better align TTK with community expectations
    • Balance pass coming to ensure all weapons are competitive
  • Doors
    • Automatic doors:
      • Forcing certain doors to remain open from match start
      • Increased open duration
      • Increased player distance required for activation
      • Players can still open doors by shooting them
    • Future considerations:
      • Possible reduction in automatic doors across maps
      • Option to disable automatic doors in Private Match
  • Weapon XP, Overclock Earn Rates, Spawns, Bug Fixes
    • Planned for tomorrow’s update:
      • Increased Weapon XP earn rate
      • Increased Overclock earn rate for loadout items and Scorestreaks
      • Spawn logic improvements across several maps and modes
      • Various weapon-related bug fixes

Day 2 Patch Notes:

  • UI
    • Fixed issue on Steam where social menus closed when the player was away
    • Fixed error when navigating between menu tabs
    • Fixed delayed login issue
  • Stability
    • Resolved server issues linked to player loadouts, Tracker Perk, Drone Pod, Pinpoint Grenade, and Skewer Scorestreak

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is an upcoming first-person shooter co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision. It serves as the twenty-second installment in the franchise and the eighth main entry in the Black Ops sub-series, set in 2035. The game will feature a single-player campaign, co-op story mode, multiplayer, and Zombies.

Black Ops 7 is scheduled for release on November 14, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
