The file size of Activision’s Call of Duty HQ app on PS5 is set to receive a massive reduction with its upcoming update.
PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the file size for the PS4 and PS5 versions of the Call of Duty HQ app with the upcoming update installed, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers. The updated version of the app will see a reduction of over 100 GB on Sony Interactive Entertainment’s current-gen console. As such, with the patch applied, the app itself should take up a relatively modest amount of storage space. The PS4 version will not receive a similar degree of file size reduction, however.

For the uninitiated, Call of Duty HQ is a unified launcher developed by Infinity Ward and introduced on October 28, 2022. Its purpose is to act as a central hub for all Call of Duty titles released from Modern Warfare II onward, including Warzone 2.0. Earlier entries such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard can also be accessed through the launcher, though they are not formally integrated into it. On July 29, 2025, both Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III were separated from the platform and became standalone games.
