Capcom Asks Fans Not to Share Resident Evil Requiem Leaks

Capcom has issued a public request to the community asking players not to share or circulate Resident Evil Requiem spoilers ahead of the game’s official launch. In a message released prior to the survival horror title’s worldwide release on February 27, 2026, the company emphasized the importance of preserving the intended experience for all players on day one.

In its statement, Capcom wrote, “Please don’t post or share pre-release leaks and spoilers for Resident Evil Requiem.” The publisher added that it wants “everyone to enjoy the game’s story and experience as much as possible.”

The company also confirmed that it will actively respond to unauthorized content distribution in the lead-up to launch. Capcom stated that its legal department “will continue to issue takedowns and deletion notices for leaks in order to preserve your day-one experience.” The request comes as anticipation builds ahead of the game’s release later this month.

Resident Evil Requiem serves as the ninth mainline entry in the long-running franchise and is developed using an advanced iteration of the RE Engine. The game features a dual protagonist structure centered on federal agent Leon S. Kennedy and FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft, who is identified as the daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak protagonist Alyssa Ashcroft.

Capcom concluded its message by noting that the launch is approaching soon and that it looks forward to seeing player reactions after release. Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled to launch worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
