Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Free Update Adds New Characters and Features for Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER

Capcom has announced a free update for Capcom Fighting Collection 2, coming out on August 7, 2025. This new update adds fresh content and improvements, mainly focusing on Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER. Players will get four new playable characters—Maki, Yun, Eagle, and Ingrid—which expands the roster and makes competitive matches more interesting.

In addition to gameplay changes, the update brings several quality-of-life improvements across the collection. New artwork, remixed background music tracks from CAP-JAMS, and other visual upgrades will be included. These changes aim to elevate the overall experience while maintaining the collection’s faithful presentation of Capcom’s fighting legacy.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a fighting game compilation developed and published by Capcom. Released in May 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One, it is the third entry in Capcom’s Fighting Collection series. The game includes eight classic titles:

  • Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
  • Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
  • Capcom Fighting Evolution
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
  • Project Justice
  • Power Stone

Each title supports online play with rollback netcode, leaderboards, training modes, and a comprehensive gallery mode.
