Capcom appears to have removed the ray tracing setting from the PC versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake.
In what appears to have been some kind of error, Capcom has removed the option to enable ray tracing in the PC versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake. The setting previously enabled ray traced reflections, which allowed for more accurate reflections compared to the default screen-space setting.
Several members of the Steam community have reported the issue for both titles. It would appear that the developer may have accidentally reverted to the DirectX 11 branch, which had been the default version for both games prior to the release of the DirectX 12 version. The DX12 version had added new features, such as ray tracing and 3D audio. After this mishap, neither feature is available in both the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes.
