Capcom Spotlight Reveals Updated Pragmata Release Date and More

by Greg Martin

Capcom delivered a wide range of announcements during its latest Capcom Spotlight presentation, offering updates on several upcoming titles and ongoing franchises. The broadcast featured news on Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Mega Man projects, Street Fighter 6 content, and plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series.

One of the major reveals was an updated release date for Pragmata. The science fiction action adventure is now scheduled to launch on April 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, arriving one week earlier than previously planned. A new trailer showcased additional areas within the game’s lunar setting, including the moon’s surface and a greenhouse-style environment inside the station.

The presentation also introduced new elements related to the Shelter, which serves as a base of operations for protagonists Hugh and Diana. Inside this hub, players will encounter a support robot named Cabin who manages several functions such as the Cabin Stamp Club. Players can exchange Cabin Coins for rewards and unlock bonuses by completing stamp rows. Cabin also provides a jukebox that allows players to change background music in the Shelter as more tracks become available through progression. The hub area also lets players equip cosmetic items and access content from the Deluxe Edition, which includes additional costumes, weapon skins, Diana gestures, extra music, and artwork. Pre-orders for Pragmata are currently available and include themed outfits for both Hugh and Diana. A free demo titled Pragmata Sketchbook is also available now across digital storefronts.

Capcom also shared updates on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection ahead of its March 13 release. The turn-based RPG received a new launch trailer highlighting the game’s story, which centers on an environmental crisis known as the Crystal Encroachment that threatens to push two nations toward conflict. An animated trailer exploring the protagonist’s childhood and path to becoming a Ranger is also on the way.

Players interested in trying the game early can download a trial version that includes the opening chapter, with save data transferable to the full game at launch. Linking save data from certain Monster Hunter titles will unlock several layered armor bonuses for the protagonist. Capcom also confirmed that free day one DLC will include the Gold Circlet accessory and Simon’s Wind Wyvern’s Friend layered armor, while pre-orders grant the Eleanor Skyscale Queen layered armor.

The showcase also provided an update on Mega Man Dual Override, the next mainline entry in the long-running platforming series. Capcom revealed the results of a community-driven boss design contest that attracted nearly 10,000 submissions. Twenty finalists were selected before fan voting narrowed the field to six designs. The development team will now choose the final boss concept that will appear in the game when it launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC.

In the meantime, the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will launch on March 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The collection includes all seven Star Force titles and introduces several new online features. These include improved matchmaking across multiple games, worldwide card trading, casual and ranked matches, and expanded Brother Lists that allow players to connect with up to 100 partners per game. Pre-orders include bonus music arrangements and additional character models for the main menu.

Street Fighter 6 also received new content announcements during the broadcast. Alex will join the roster on March 17 alongside the release of Outfit 4 costumes. The character’s wrestling style was brought to life with motion capture work from professional wrestler Kenny Omega. Alex’s arrival also includes a new theme song by JAM Project and a Fighting Pass that offers additional content across the game’s modes. Free avatar gear themed around the collaboration will also be available.

The event also briefly highlighted Capcom and Legendary Entertainment’s upcoming live-action Street Fighter film. Additional behind-the-scenes footage is expected during Capcom Cup 12 and the Street Fighter League World Championship 2025, which will take place from March 11 to March 15 in Tokyo. The film is scheduled to premiere worldwide on October 16, 2026.

Finally, Capcom outlined several activities planned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series on March 22, 2026. These include a collaboration with Universal Studios Japan featuring a new attraction themed around Resident Evil Requiem. The company also confirmed an orchestral concert series titled Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Concerts Symphony of Legacy. In addition, a new arcade game based on Resident Evil 2 will use air jets and floor vibration technology to enhance the experience as players fight off zombies.

Capcom also announced the opening of the Capcom Town Store, a new digital storefront offering discounted PC versions of recent titles, including Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection. Classic titles such as the original Mega Man and Street Fighter II: The World Warrior will also be playable on mobile devices through Capcom Town. Players can receive a 10 percent discount on select titles using a limited-time code linked to a Capcom ID.
