CD Projekt Red has shared an updated look at its current and upcoming projects as part of its FY 2025 earnings presentation, highlighting a growing development pipeline led by The Witcher 4. The studio appears to be allocating a significant portion of its resources toward its next flagship title, while continuing to expand both The Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises across multiple platforms and media.

The Witcher series remains a central pillar for the company, with total franchise sales reaching 85 million copies as of May 2025. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt alone accounts for 60 million of those sales and saw renewed visibility after joining Xbox Game Pass during FY 2025. CD Projekt Red is also maintaining what it describes as a franchise flywheel, supporting the IP through merchandise, comics, board games, and crossover collaborations with titles such as Dead by Daylight and Sword of Convallaria.

Development on The Witcher 4 is currently the studio’s largest undertaking, with 499 developers assigned to the project as of February 28, 2026. This marks a steady increase from 447 in October 2025 and 411 in February 2025, reinforcing its position as the company’s primary focus.

The Cyberpunk franchise continues to expand as well. Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 35 million copies as of November 2025, while its Phantom Liberty expansion reached 10 million copies by May 2025. The title broadened its platform reach throughout 2025 with releases on Nintendo Switch 2 and Apple devices, alongside inclusion in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. Further expansion is planned in 2026 through a PS5 Pro Enhanced version and a release on Xbox Game Pass.

Cyberpunk 2, currently referred to as Project Orion, is the second-largest active project at the studio. The team working on it has grown to 149 developers as of February 2026, up from 135 in October 2025 and 84 in February 2025, indicating a noticeable increase in production activity.

Alongside these major titles, CD Projekt Red is developing Project Sirius, an unannounced game set within The Witcher universe at The Molasses Flood. The project has seen gradual team growth, reaching 71 developers as of February 2026, compared to 56 in October 2025 and 49 in February 2025. While smaller in scale, it continues to expand steadily.

The company is also working on Hadar, a brand-new original IP separate from its existing franchises. According to the presentation, the project has completed its foundational world-building phase and is now shifting toward active game development. The team currently stands at 26 developers, slightly down from 29 in October 2025, suggesting internal adjustments as production begins. Details on the project remain limited.

Across all projects, CD Projekt Red’s development workforce has grown from 707 developers in February 2025 to 933 by February 2026. As of the latest count, 499 developers are assigned to The Witcher 4, 149 to Cyberpunk 2, 71 to Sirius, 26 to Hadar, with 169 in shared services and 19 categorized under other efforts.

Spending on development has also increased notably. Capitalized development expenditures reached approximately PLN 160 million in Q4 2025, driven largely by The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2. At the same time, research costs declined 51% year over year, dropping from PLN 78.5 million to PLN 38.6 million, which suggests that several projects have moved beyond early research stages into full production.

Taken together, the studio is now managing a four-project pipeline simultaneously. The Witcher 4 stands as the clear priority, Cyberpunk 2 continues to scale up, Sirius progresses at a measured pace, and Hadar is just beginning its transition into active development.
