Cities Skylines II Patch Adds Asset Mods Support

Cities Skylines II has released patch 1.5.2f1, marking the first major step toward full Asset Mods support. This update introduces a beta version of the Editor that allows modders to create and share assets, paving the way for a wider range of community made additions through Paradox Mods. To prepare for the new asset handling system, the patch updates the base game and all DLCs for compatibility without altering existing content.

In addition to the new asset features, the update includes targeted gameplay fixes addressing crashes, pathfinding issues, and tram station functionality. Improvements have also been made to the Paradox Mods ecosystem, ensuring smoother integration as creators begin submitting their work. This patch signals a significant advancement for customization and community driven content within the game.

Gameplay Fixes

  • Fixed a crash occurring when connecting bicycle paths to roundabouts in left hand traffic cities
  • Addressed a performance issue caused by unnecessary pathfinding calculations in certain saves
  • Fixed functionality issues with Tram Junction Station, Tram Parallel Station, and Tram Loop Station; players must rebuild these stations in existing cities for the fix to apply

Paradox Mods Fixes and Improvements

  • Updated PDX Mods to version 1.13.1
