Cities Skylines Patch 1.21.1 Adds Race Day Expansion and Free Gameplay Features

Cities Skylines has received Patch 1.21.1 f4 alongside the launch of several new content additions, including the Race Day expansion and multiple creator packs. The update introduces racing events to the city builder, allowing players to host motorsport competitions, running events, and cycling races throughout their cities.

Alongside the paid content, a free update adds new gameplay tools for all players. These include a new Employment Info View that provides better insight into workforce distribution and a new fence placement tool for roads, giving players additional customization options for city design.

    • Adds motorsport events, running races, cycling competitions, and large city parades

    • Introduces architecture inspired by modern designs that blend historical and contemporary elements

    • Adds geometric and concrete based buildings focused on civic architecture
  • Implemented 8 Gear Radio
    • New radio station featuring modern soft house music and upbeat electronic tracks

Free Update Features

  • Added Employment Info View
    • Provides detailed insight into workforce distribution across the city
  • Added Fence Tool
    • Allows fences to be placed along roads for additional urban customization
  • All fences can now be flipped in direction using the upgrade tool
    • Works similarly to the system used for flipping road directions

Cities Skylines originally released in 2015 and continues to receive new content updates. The Race Day expansion launched on March 10, 2026, alongside Patch 1.21.1 f4. Cities Skylines Remastered is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
