Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Patch 1.4.0 Adds Battle Retry, DLSS Frame Generation, and Major Fixes

Patch 1.4.0 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 introduces several significant improvements, headlined by the new Battle Retry feature that allows players to immediately reattempt battles upon defeat. Quality of life enhancements such as the addition of Lumina cost display for abilities, autoplay for dialogue, and separate volume sliders for exploration and combat have also been included. On the technical front, DLSS and XeSS now support Frame Generation and Low Latency Mode on compatible GPUs, improving performance and responsiveness.

Accessibility has been improved through updated icons for Lune’s Stains, while several combat balance changes fix unintended interactions with skills and pictos. The update also addresses various bugs, including achievement unlock errors, loading issues, and environment glitches, especially on Steam Deck. Visual polish and environmental refinements complete this update, enhancing immersion across the game world.
