Com2uS has announced that it is developing a new game based on the anime and light novel series I Left My A Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths. The project was revealed during AnimeJapan 2026 in Tokyo, where the company shared a teaser video and introduced the adaptation to attendees.
The publisher confirmed that it has secured a licensing agreement with Kodansha, allowing it to develop and globally release a game based on the property. According to Com2uS, the goal is to preserve the core appeal of the original story while introducing gameplay elements tailored for an interactive format.
The A Rank Party series began as a light novel before expanding into a manga adaptation, with total sales surpassing 1.8 million copies. Its popularity has continued to grow through its anime adaptation, which has helped establish a broader international audience. The story centers on Yuke, a red mage who leaves his high-ranking party and reunites with former students to explore dangerous dungeons and pursue increasingly difficult challenges.
The game announcement was presented as a surprise during the event, accompanied by appearances from voice actors on stage. A short teaser showcased Yuke alongside key characters such as Rain and Marina, offering an early glimpse at how the narrative may translate into a game format.
Com2uS also used the event to highlight its broader lineup of anime-based projects currently in development, including titles based on Tougen Anki and Gachiakuta. The company stated that it intends to continue expanding its global presence by bringing more adaptations of well-known anime properties into the gaming space.
Further details about the A Rank Party game, including platforms and release timing, have not yet been announced.
