Cooking Simulator VR has received a major overhaul with its latest update, marking one of the most significant milestones for the title since its original launch. After extensive development, testing, and community feedback, the developers have completely rebuilt the game using Unreal Engine 5.5, transforming both its visuals and gameplay systems. This reimagined version introduces 4K visuals, enhanced physics, and dynamic day-and-night lighting, providing a more immersive and lifelike cooking experience.
According to the development team, this update represents a new era for the game as they have brought all future development in-house. The decision follows challenges with a previous partner that limited progress and DLC production. Now under full studio control, the team plans to expand the game’s scope, improve its technical foundation, and release new content—including a Cakes and Cookies DLC arriving in December 2025.
