XSEED Games has announced that the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2025. The collection, developed by MAGES., brings together four entries from the long-running horror series that follow the “Heavenly Host” story arc.
The compilation includes Corpse Party (2021), Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash, and Corpse Party: Blood Drive. While two of these titles are already available digitally on Nintendo’s eShop, the pack marks the first time Book of Shadows and Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash will appear on the Switch. A standard physical edition is available for pre-order through Amazon, priced at 49.99 US dollars.
The series, known for its blend of visual novel storytelling and survival horror themes, follows a group of students who become trapped in a haunted version of Heavenly Host Elementary School. The games combine branching narratives, supernatural elements, and psychological horror, often forcing players to make choices that lead to multiple outcomes.
In addition to the anthology announcement, XSEED confirmed a delay for Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion. Originally expected earlier, the sequel is now scheduled for a global release in 2026. The publisher cited additional development needs and revealed that the game will also launch on PlayStation 5 alongside the previously announced platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. Unlike the Tetralogy Pack, which is being handled by a separate development team, Darkness Distortion continues to receive direct attention from its core developers.
The Corpse Party franchise began in the mid-1990s as an independent RPG Maker project in Japan before growing into an established horror series with multiple sequels, remakes, and spin-offs. It has gained a reputation for its graphic storytelling, mature themes, and distinctive mix of visual novel structure with exploration-based gameplay.
